Daniel D. Dolan Elected Secretary of the
Dolan also tapped to Chair AFTL Dade County Legislatve Task Force
Daniel D. Dolan, II, was recently elected Secretary of the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association for the 2005-2006 term. The Dade County Trial Lawyers Association is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary and is the largest county based trial lawyers organization in the state. Dolan is in line to be president-elect in 2007.
Dolan,an Eagle member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, was also recently tapped to serve as Chairman of the Dade County Legislative Recruitment Task Force.
Robert Parks Named to the Florida International
Robert L. Parks was recently named to the Florida International University Law School’s Dean’s Advisory Council. The FIU Law School Dean’s Advisory Council is responsible for advising and establishing ways to benefit the law school in the areas of marketing, outreach, fundraising, academic advising and networking.
Robert Parks is regarded as one of the nation’s premier trial lawyers in the areas of personal injury litigation and commercial litigation. His expertise encompasses a variety of civil practice areas including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, AIDS litigation, aviation law and class action litigation. Parks has more than 35 years of experience in civil litigation.

The firm was named once again to the National Law Journal’s “The Plaintiffs’ Hot List” featuring 20 of the most exemplary and noteworthy plaintiff trial law firms in the United States. Haggard, Parks, Haggard & Lewis is the only firm from Miami-Dade County to be listed in this year’s Plaintiffs’ Hot List and the only firm from the state of Florida to be listed on the Plaintiffs’ Hot List for two years in a row since it began in 2003. Haggard, Parks, Haggard and Lewis is pleased to announce that two of its partners have recently been named to Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite. Robert L. Parks and Michael A. Haggard were among the top attorneys in the state of Florida listed in this special edition of the magazine.Florida Legal Elite has acknowledged the top attorneys in the state of Florida in various practice areas. This prestigious group of attorneys represent the top 1.6% of the 54,135 Florida Bar members who practice in the state. Parks and Haggard were listed among 142 attorneys practicing civil trial litigation. The Florida Legal Elite honorees were chosen by nominations and votes. Nomination announcements were sent to all attorneys in the state where they had the opportunity to list who they feel are the top attorneys practicing in the state. Nominees were scored based on number of votes they received. A panel of 10 attorneys representing seven practice areas reviewed the selections to develop the list.
Wm. Andrew “Andy” Haggard Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers
William Andrew “Andy” Haggard has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. The induction ceremony at which Mr. Haggard became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of 730 persons during the recent 2004 Spring Meeting of the College in Phoenix, Arizona. The College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.
